A Sign of Hope

To me, a rainbow is a sign of hope. The state of Alabama is in extreme turmoil and the people are trying to recover following the devastating tornadoes.  This unpresidented event has not only destroyed homes, but lives. It is going to take a long time for the people to recover, but there is hope.

The American Red Cross is on the ground, providing food, shelter and clean-up kits. The Red Cross is also providing mental health services to those who have suffered loss.

I am encouraged that the hard work of Red Cross volunteers continue to shine a light in the darkness. To see a rainbow after spending long, tireless days trying to make a difference is a reminder that in the midst of all of the loss, there is hope.

HOPE of brighter days
HOPE of rebuilding lives
HOPE of making a difference
